Cleaning mildew from shower tiles

Bathrooms are prone to mildew deposits because of the high humidity. Here’s how you can escape this situation.

  • Baking soda
  • Scrubbing brush
  • White vinegar
  • Gloves
  • Bleach
  • Paper towels

Baking soda

Make a paste from baking soda and water and then apply it to the mildew deposits.

Let it sit for a few minutes and then use a scrubbing brush or a washcloth to scrub the surface. Scrub it thoroughly to ensure maximum efficiency.

If the baking soda paste doesn’t solve the problem, then use some vinegar. Apply it directly on the stains and let it sit. After 5-10 minutes use a washcloth and wipe the area.

If none of the two methods give results, then it’s time for bleach. Make a bleach solution of one part bleach, 4 parts water and then spray it on the stains. Let it sit for a while and then wipe the surface with a washcloth.
