  • Anti-mildew paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Plastic scrubber
  • Laundry detergent
  • Rubber gloves
  • Spray bottle

Cleaning solution

There are many solutions that can be used for mildew removal.

One of them is made of half a cup of bleach, 1/3 cup of laundry detergent and a gallon of water. Mix it well and then spray it on the affected area. Use robber gloves. You can also make a solution out of white vinegar and water.

Cleaning the surface

Use a sponge or a wash cloth to scrub the area. You can also use a plastic scrubbing brush. Remove the big parts of the mildew deposit before applying the solution and scrubbing the area.

If the paint surface was affected by the scrubbing, you should repaint the wall. First apply an anti-mildew primer or use a mildew resistant paint.
