If you don’t have a central air conditioning systems and also you don’t have the possibility of installing one, you can still enjoy cool summer days with ductless air conditioners. They are easy to install and they have a wire range of sizes and capacities.

Condenser positioning

First of all, find a place where to install the air conditioner condenser. It needs to be placed as close as possible to the inside air handler and also on a leveled slab.

Interior air unit

The best place to install an air handler is as close to the ceiling as possible. This way it will work the most efficient way, because hot air will rise to the top of the room. The air handler needs to be placed close to the air condenser.

Selecting the right air conditioner

The warranty should be the first thing that you need to consider. Sometimes, if you decide to install the unit by yourself, the warranty will be invalidated. Read it carefully. Also see if there is any tubing included in the package.

Connecting the two units

First of all you will need to cut a hole in the wall. The hole should be big enough to slide the tubing. Be careful not to cut any electric lines. Use a stud finder and a circular saw.

Now you can attach the interior mounting plate. Be sure that it’s leveled. Attach it to the wall. Inserting the tubing through the hole you’ve made. Connect those lines to the air handler and then you can start the testing.
