It’s quite impossible not to skip a few drops of water on the furniture, even if you use all the table covers. There are a few easy ways to clean those stains.
Tools and Materials:
- Absorbent cloth
- Paper towels
- Blow dryer
- White toothpaste
- Baking soda
- Furniture polish
- Mayonnaise
- Oil
- Salt
- Bleach
- Water
- Steel wool
For white water rings
- If the rings are fresh, use a piece of cloth to remove all the water and then put a paper towel over the spot to remove any more moisture.
- You can also use a hair dryer to remove the water before it’s sipped in. You can also put a piece of cloth on top and then use an iron. You need to be careful not to use steam and not let it on the same spot for more than a few seconds.
- Also, non-gel toothpaste is very good for removing these kind of stains. Put the toothpaste on a cloth.
Highly finished wood
- Mayonnaise. Apply some mayonnaise on the stain and then use a towel to rub it. Let the mayonnaise remain on the stain over night. Wipe off the remaining paste in the morning.
- Soft wax polish. Use some really fine steel wool and some wax polish. Buff the region until the stain disappears.
- Baking soda. Put some baking soda and water in a can and make a paste. Apply it on the stain and let it there for about 30 minutes.
- Oil and salt. You can use a mixture of salt and oil and then rub the stain with it. Leave it to act for about 20 minutes. Remove the mixture with a paper towel and polish the area.
For black ring marks
- Sand the area. Use a brush and apply some bleach to the region. Let it stay for a few hours and then re-apply some more. Ask your manufacturer about the types of bleach that you can use with your furniture.
