Installing a pet door

Installing a pet door is a very easy process. With a few instructions you can do the job all by yourself. If you haven’t yet installed your storm door, you can order a custom one with a pet door. But you should do it by yourself as you will spend less money.

Tools & materials:

Flathead screwdriver
Philips head screwdriver
Jigsaw or hand saw
Drill
Hammer

Measurements

Take the door off its hinges and take the measurements. Follow the measurements from the instructions. It’s better if the hole is smaller as it can be enlarged, but a larger hole is harder to repair. Double check the measurements each time. The hole shouldn’t be at a great height. It needs to be easily accessed by the pet.

Cutting

Drill a hole in each of the corners of the rectangle. Insert the saw and then start cutting.
