Have you ever thought what is the fastest food you could prepare? With different varieties that you rarely can find in supermarkets, lettuce is one of the healthiest and most delicious foods.

In order to have good lettuce crops, one should follow some important steps:

- The best time of day for harvesting lettuce is at sunrise, when the leaves are still crisp.

- Cut the entire plant or just the biggest leaves from the outside, letting the plant to re-grow or the leaves inside continue to develop.

- Slice off the head lettuce only when they are ready to use.

- In order to keep its proprieties, consume lettuce immediately after harvesting.

Keep lettuce in plastic bags, in the refrigerator to keep it fresh for a longer period of time.
