Installing a swimming pool pump is an easy job and it also makes the pool environment a lot more healthy.

Some of the materials that you will need are:

Primer
Box wrenches
Teflon tape
Pipe wrench
Screwdriver
Pipe cutters or hacksaw

First of all you’ll need to attach the pump to the motor with nuts and bolts. Also attach the line that comes from the pool to the suction side. You need to install a shut-off valve. Then attach the line on the other side of the pomp.

Connect the filter assembly of the discharge line from your pump using unions. Then connect a flush valve on the side that is discharged of the filter. This will redirect the flush of water backwards to clean the filter.

For better results, connect the shut-off valve on the discharge and intake side of your filter and pump so that they can be detached without any water being tapped from the pool.

The pump is the heart of the pump. The way it works is very simple: an impeller inside of an electric motor spins, forcing the water through different drains in the filter, then driving it back out into the water inlets. Before the water gets into the pump, it passes through a strainer to stop any debris from getting in. This ensures that the water is clean and clear.

For better protection, you can use some chlorine, but this doesn’t kill all the germs. So, if you’re sick, it’s better not to use the pool. The best way to prevent germs from accumulating is to bathe before going into the swimming pool.
