How to easily install corrugated metal roofing

Corrugated metal roofing has become more and more popular in the last few years. It’s very important that the installation should be done properly, otherwise the appearance and proper function of the roof will suffer.

  1. Measurements.
First of all you will need to make some measurements. Subtract 1 inch around the perimeter of each panel when calculating the roof coverage. This will allow the sheets to overlap.
  2. Installation. You can install the sheets of metal directly onto the plywood panels.
  3. Overlap. Remember to overlap the sheets. This will help seal the roof against water damage.
  4. Fixing the sheets. You should use 3 inch galvanized nails for the sheets. You should use about 20 nail per sheet.
  5. Ridges. To prevent any weather damage, install ridge caps.
