Although spider mites are very tiny creatures who live both on indoor and outdoor plants, they cause a lot of problems to their host. Their name comes from the fact that they build little webs between the leaves of a plant and suck its juice. They prefer almost every plant, but there are some that keep spider mites away.


Plants that grow near garlic cannot be infested with spider mites. So, try to grow sensitive plants such as tomatoes, basil pepper and others, near garlic to protect them from pests. Because not all garlic varieties can grow in all climates, try to choose the proper one to thrive in your garden.


Chrysanthemum flower produces a chemical called pyrethrums that protects the plants in your garden for red spider mites and other pests. On the other hand, you should take care because used improperly, they can be a little toxic for humans. Excepting this, chrysanthemums look very nice surrounding your garden.


Reaching a tree feet height and used to make pickled foods, dill is a natural and strong repellent for red spider mites. It is cultivated by gardeners to protect other susceptible plants. Dill prefers sunlight almost eight hours a day and a very well drained soil.


Coriander rejects red spider mites with the help of its strong smell and flavor. The best place to grow coriander is near vegetables. Coriander not only rejects pests, but it also attracts bees, thus helping to pollinate other plans. The entire plant has both a medical and gastronomical usage.
