Kitchen island in four steps
Kitchen island can be quite expensive at local improvement centers. But why not try to build your own kitchen island
First of all you will need to buy a few materials, like bathroom vanities, backboards, wood screws, nails, nails adhesive, and make sure you have the right tools. Measure the length of the bathroom vanities.
Now line the vanities side by side. Secure them together using the wood screws. Make sure that the screws are fixed in those areas that are the thickest.
Cut the backboard of the island by the measurements of the full unit. The backboard will provide a finished look. You can use different kinds of boards, like beat board or faux wood. Use liquid nails adhesive to glue them to the back of the kitchen island. Then use nails to fix it even better.
Secure the counter-top with adhesive. Let it dry for 24 hours. You can then customize your kitchen island as you wish.
