About radiant heating
Radiant heat is used for both indoor and outdoor heating. Some of the most often used methods of radiant heating systems are the radiators. They work by heating the air.
Convection heating is a little different. It’s also called force-air heating. You can also use heated panels beneath a floor for within a wall to achieve radiant heating.
In industrial buildings, radiant heating is done through large overhead gas heaters. This gave the ability to heat large areas from beneath the unit.
Outdoor heating
Efficient radiant heating is very difficult achieved in the outdoors, because the air is always moving. Patio heaters are very inefficient. They do rely on radiant and convection heating, but they are still inefficient. To get sufficient heat, a person must sit right beside the heating unit. Wood fires are the oldest methods of radiant heating.
