Duct work installation
It’s very important that you plan everything before you build anything. Plan out your duct configuration in order to make the installation process easier and also to prevent any mistake. Also make sure that there is enough space in each room to install the ducts. After all this you can start installing the pipes.
Air handler installation
The air handler is the first thing that you should actually install. This component is usually installed in the basement of your home. Make sure that the condenser drain is installed in order to properly allow the water to drain safely.
Outside tubing
Run the tubing from the air handler outside to allow ventilation.
Power
When you are working around electrical wiring, make sure that you turn off the power. This will prevent any accident and short circuits.
Thermostat
Install the thermostat using the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Place it on a wall in one of your rooms. Attach the thermostat with screws and connect it to the main wiring.
Gas line
Now it’s time to attach the gas line to the heating system. You will need to call a professional to do this for you. After you have installed the gas line, test the unit and light the pilot light.
