Toe kick heater: electric vs hydronic
A great solution for large drafty areas is a toe kick heater. They are quite easy to install and will warm cold floors. You can add a thermostat to each heater.
Electric toe kick heaters
Electric heaters are cheaper to install, but they aren’t as efficient as hydronic ones. You won’t need to install any lines, just use an existing outlet. They have become less popular in the past few years.
Hydronic toe kick heaters
This type of heater can be hooked to the existing plumbing system. To circulate the water you will need a pump. The hot water is forced through the system creating heat. The system is fairly easy to install and it is very effective, but it will cost more.
