Installing PVC roofing

Preparations
First of all you will need to remove the old roofing material. You should rent a dumpster to toss the material in. You will also need a ladder that is tall enough to allow you reach the roof. Climb on the roof and begin removing the roofing material.
Removing the old roofing material
You should always wear safety equipment when you are working on the roof. Always throw the materials removed in a waste receptacle to prevent a mess and also waste time with another cleaning.
Remove all loose nails and other materials that will remain on the roof. This process takes time, but you will need to do it. Inspect every inch of the roof and clean it properly.
Tar paper
Now it’s time to roll out the tar paper. This will act as a water barrier, protecting your roof from leaks. You can use a staple gun to fix the tar paper to the roof. Cover the entire roof. Don’t leave gaps or exposed areas or you will have to deal with water damage.
PVC shingles
Attach the PVC shingles, working inn rows. The shingles will have a clipping mechanisms, or a lip or attachment that will allow you to nail them down. Be careful to attach the entire row before getting to the next one. After the shingles are in place, attach the flashings to complete the project.
