Power washing wooden eaves

The eaves are a very important part of the roofing system. They provide water protection. They come in many different styles and materials.

Some of the materials are: steel, aluminum and wooden. If you do not know how to wash your wooden eaves, then follow the next steps.

You will need a power washer, a ladder, some soap and a water supply.

Preparation

You will need to add the soap to your power washer. Then attach the hose to your power supply and turn it on.

Power washing

Now use the power washing machine to wash the eaves with the soap and water. f you have mildew or mold problems, then you should use a soap that has an anti-fungal agent. Let the soapy solution sit for a few minutes.

Rinsing

Now you will only need clean water. Wash down the eaves and be sure you remove all the soap. Be careful with the pressure. It needs to be low, to avoid stripping the wood.
