Air conditioner drain lines
Air conditioner fans, or air handlers, are the main components of any air conditioning system. These are quite complicated devices, as they may contain coils and heating elements, as well as electrical wiring and refrigerant lines.

When you buy an air conditioner fan, you should make sure that it’s compatible with the outside unit and also with the thermostat.
Choosing a spot
Installing an air conditioner fan means, first of all, choosing a place where to install it. This should be close enough from the outside unit and also the place should be big enough to allow easy mounting and also access to the blower and coil compartments.
Use some metal ducting to install and air return cavity. The vents need to be connected to the flanges. Install the air filter cartridge. The ductwork needs to be insulated for the conditioner to work properly.
Water will accumulate because of the condensation process and thus it will drip. That’s why the machine will have at least one dripping pan. You will need to insert it in its slot and also install a trap close to it to prevent the air from being drawn up through the drain line. Connect the drain pans to a drain outside your house.
For the refrigerant lines use dehydrated cooper lines. These will be used to connect the evaporator and the condenser coils. The lines need to be brazed in order to be sealed. Remove any rubber grommets from the site. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
First of all disconnect the house power source. Now you need to do some work on the electrical access panel. Now route the supply wire to the electrical box and then join the lines with the help of a wire nut. Don’t forget to connect the ground wire. Use the instructions from the manufacturer to connect the thermostat to the electricity wiring.
Now you should put back any panels and ducts. Don’t forget to seal any wiring, refrigerant ducts and condensate lines.
All you need to do now is test the system. Connect it to a power source and then turn it on.
