Tools and Materials
- Chlorine bleach

- Undiluted vinegar
Bathrooms exhaust fan
Poor air circulation can be the cause of mildew formation. If you have an exhaust fan, turn it on every time you shower. This will eliminate most of the moisture. If you do not have an exhaust fan, install one. You can also leave the window open and also the door for air circulation. Less moisture means fewer chances for the mildew to appear.
Have a squeegee close to hand. Use it and wipe the shower walls. This will eliminate most of the moisture and also soap. This way the walls will dry up faster and prevent mildew formations. Also spread the shower curtain as much as you can to allow faster drying.
Cleaning the shower
Mildew can thrive in showers as soap, boy oils, scum, all deposit on the shower surface. Clean the shower every week. Use chlorine or oxygen bleach and also vinegar, for a more natural solution. Hot water will help the cleaning. The curtains can be cleaned by soaking them in salted, hot water.
Cluttered, damp places are the best environment for the mildew. Use storage cabinets and dry everything before storing them. Also dry damp cloths and towels.
