Removing stains from cloths is a very delicate process. It depends a lot on the type o material the cloth is made of. It’s important that stain should be removed immediately.
If not, it can become a permanent stain.
Always rinse the piece of cloth in cold water and try to remove as much of the stain as you can. Don’t rub the spot, just pour water and use a sponge. If you rub it you risk of getting the oil impregnated into the fabric.
Then, use some products for stain removal. You can use gentle soaps or even shampoo. Then gently rub the spot, blot ans rinse. Repeat the step until the stain is removed.
You may also add a special clothing stain removal before washing the cloth.
