Using a microwave to dry up roses
One of the easiest ways of drying roses nicely is with the microwave. This will help you maintain the shape of the rose and you can then use them as decorations. You can further use silica gel to preserve the roses even better.
The first thing that you will need to do is cut the roses when they are in bloom and with a stem long enough to allow them to stay in a vase. The next step is pouring the silica gel in a bowl and then swirl the rose in it. You can use a spoon to pour the gel over the rose. This is a more effective way because you get more coverage. Then you can put the flowers on a plate and place them in the microwave.
Using the microwave
The trick about drying the roses with a microwave is setting it at a low temperature. You can ignite the rose if it’s set at maximum setting. You should let the rose inside the microwave for around 3 minutes. After the rose has dried inside the microwave, let it inside for a few hours.
How to remove the rose
Just take the roses out. You can further dry them by hanging them upside down in a dark room that is also cool. It’s important to hang them upside down. Use wire or cotton for hanging. In two or three days they should be dry.
